Punjab Government has promoted three IPS officers in the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police with immediate effect.Disclosing this here today an Official Spokesman of the Punjab Government said that Mr. Gursharan Singh Sandhu IPS (2002 Batch) and Kanwar Bahadur Singh IPS (2002 Batch) have been promoted in the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police .He further said that Mr. Kaustubh Sharma IPS (2001 Batch) who has opted to continue on central deputation, is given profroma promotion to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police as per the provision laid down in sub rule 6(8)of the Indian Police Service (pay) Rules, 2007.
