Taking a strong note of the video clip in which Punjab state Convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur was seen taking money from a party volunteer the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to remove him from his current post with the immediate effect. The PAC meeting which was chaired by national convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal in which Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann and Faridkot MP, Prof. Sadhu Singh were also present. The PAC also decided to appoint a two member panel to inquire into the video clip in which Chhotepur was seen allegedly taking money besides several other complaints made against him on the similar lines. The two member inquiry panel will include MLA Jarnail Singh, who has recently been appointed as co- cordinator of Punjab and senior leader Jasbir Singh Bir who is the head of the AAP's grievances cell of the state.During the PAC the video clip in which Chhoptepur was seen accepting money was thoroughly examined and discussed. The committee also took cognizance of nearly eight to 10 other complaints filed against Chhotepur by various party sympathizers.

The PAC also discussed the complaints made by one Amritsar based leader and another from a New Zealand based NRI from Zira. Both alleged in their complaints that Chhotepur had taken money from them promising to smoothen their joining the party as well a ticket for the forthcoming Punjab Vidhan Sabha polls. During the meeting Bhagwant Mann took a serious view of Chhotepur'a allegation made in his press conference earlier in the day against Kejriwal for trying to give the entire controversy a communal colour. “It is very unfortunate that Chhotepur is resorting to such cheap gimmicks to defend his corrupt act. If Chhotepur was so perturbed about the incident why didn't he react and leave the party there and then. I think he is only trying to divert the issue", said Mann in the meeting. The PAC has also decided not to appoint new Punjab convener in place of Chhotepur till the two member panel submits its final report about the various video and audio clips received by the party.
