The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister,Sukhbir Singh Badal today said the SAD-BJP government has given matchless facilities to the industrial sector in the state which has given a tremendous boost to the industry.Replying to a query regarding pitiable condition of industry in Mandi Gobindgarh during 2nd and last day of the sangat darshan at Amloh constituency, the Deputy Chief Minister said the Punjab government has undertaken the novel initiative of providing power for 24 hours to the industrial sector at the subsidized rates whereas earlier, the industrialists had to run their mills for 16-18 hours on the generators.He announced that the SAD-BJP government would promulgate further industry friendly policies so as to restore the earlier glory of Mandi Gobindgarh industry. He further said it is because of the world class infrastructure and progress centric policies framed by the SAD-BJP government that many prominent national and international industrialists are exhibiting interest in investing in Punjab.

Answering a query about AAP, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal said the video of Punjab Convenor of AAP Sucha Singh Chhotepur has gone viral on the social media in which he is shown taking money and which has amply proven that AAP is a party of looters. He also said the people of Punjab should be cautious of the false promises of this party. Branding AAP as a bunch of naxalites, the Deputy CM said these people are out to vitiate the prosperous atmosphere of the state.Terming SAD as a representative party of the people of Punjab, he reiterated that the sole aim of the SAD-BJP government is to transform the lives and raise the standard of living of people of Punjab whereas the AAP and the Congress are only vying to grab power.Making an important announcement, S. Badal said the decision on GST would be taken during the forthcoming session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha scheduled to commence on 5th September. Answering a query pertaining to PCOCA (Punjab Control of Organized Crime Act), the Deputy CM replied that the Advocate General of Punjab has been asked by the council of ministers to study all aspects regarding PCOCA and any decision would only be taken after getting the final report.Regarding announcing Gurpreet Singh Raju Khanna as candidate of SAD from Amloh, the Deputy Chief Minister said the leaders and workers of every constituency are in knowledge about the SAD candidate who is to fight election from that particular area and also the preparations have begun. He informed that the formal announcement of the list would be made soon.

Earlier, making a pitch for development, the Deputy CM said the maximum developmental projects after independence have been effected by SAD-BJP alliance which has implemented several welfare oriented schemes for all sections besides transforming the infrastructural sector. He also disclosed that all the major roads in the state have been 4 and 6 laned and also making the state power surplus is another big achievement of SAD-BJP government.Mr Badal also laid the foundation stone of a sewerage project worth Rs. 16.72 crore for Amloh and disbursed development grants worth Rs. 8.70 crore for the 49 villages during sangat darshan. He appealed to the people of Punjab to ensure hat-trick for SAD-BJP government in order to continue the journey of development.Among others present on the occasion were Halqa incharge Amloh Gurpreet Singh Raju Khanna, Halqa incharge Fatehgarh Sahib Didar Singh Bhatti, Senior Vice President SAD Jagdeep Singh Cheema, District President SAD Fatehgarh Sahib, Ranjit Singh Libra, District President BJP Pardeep Garg, Special Principal Secretary to the Deputy CM Ashwani Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Kamaldeep Singh Sangha.
