Congress party celebrates 72nd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi during a function organized under the leadership of Pawan Dewan, General Secretary, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee at Dhand Palace, Daba Road, Shimlapuri, where party workers paid glorious tributes to Rajiv ji.The party leaders after paying floral tributes to late Rajiv Gandhi’s portrait recalled his services and sacrifices for the country. Addressing the function, Dewan said, the real homage to Rajiv Gandhi was to follow into his footsteps. He said, this was important as the same forces who had killed Rajiv Gandhi and his mother Ms Indira Gandhi were trying to raise their ugly head again and it was necessary to defeat them.Prominent among those present on the occasion included Palwinder Singh Taggar, Avtar Singh Kanda, Dr. Onkar Chand Sharma, Rohit Pahwa, Balwinder Bedi and Kamal Sharma.
