Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal today said that India was committed to file the nefarious designs of inimical forces across the border to push in Narco- terrorism in the border state and people of this country were united to give befitting reply to them.Speaking to the media persons on the sidelines of a function in which she came to tie a Rakhis to BSF jawans at wagah border Mrs Badal said that shiromani Akali Dal had organized a dharna against such forces and we would keep fighting them . She said that it was efforts of SAD- BJP government that record seizure of narcotics smuggled from across the border were made by Punjab police and Punjab police has busted many modules operating on the instructions of forces across the border.Congratulating the jawans on the Rakhi she said that country would remain indebted to them as they were guarding the frontiers of our country facing extreme weather and remaining away from their families.She said that the biggest gift to every sister from the jawans was that they ensured our peaceful life's by safeguarding the border .She said that its historic day as union government led by Prime Minister Mr.  Narendra Modi has decided to salute the contribution of security forces in securing the sovereignty of the country by securing the nations border by organizing such events along with the check posts at borders of the country.

She said that "it's an honour for me to share the Rakhi festivals with my brothers at border as these Rakhis not only from me but from lakhs of sisters who are missing their dear ones on that day ".It may be mentioned here that Union Minister has brought special Rakhis from Delhi on the theme of “Beti Bachao , Beti Paraho”.Earlier she tied the Rakhi to JS Oberai DIG sector headquarter Amritsar , Mr. Sudeep Commandant 88 Battalion and other jawans . She also shared sweets with them.Participating in the cultural program organized on the zero line , Union Minister surprised everyone by singing herself the famous song of great singer Lata Mangeshkar “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logo”. Cultural program including Gidha , Bhangra, Folk Songs by the students of Rural schools of Amritsar was organized to entertain the BSF Jawans. Earlier the Union Minister has tied the Rakhis to Jawans guarding the Zero line and planted a sapling along the Indo-Pak border dedicated to the Unity and integrity of the country.Prominent amongst present on the occasion included advisor to Deputy Chief Minister Manjinder singh sirsa , DC Varun Roozam .
