Kishtwar, Mendhar shut down against Kashmir killings

Civilian killings in Kashmir continue to spark shutdown in Chenab Valley where Muslim community have been denouncing the innocent killings at the hands of government forces. Chenab Valley had observed India’s Independence Day as Black Day.Reports said that on Wednesday Muslim community from Kishtwar and Mendhar observed a complete shutdown against the unabated civilian killings in Kashmir Valley.In Kishtwar the call for shutdown was given by the Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar Farooq Ahmed Kichloo while the call for shutdown in Mendhar was forwarded by Imam Jamia Masjid Maulana Muhammad Sultan Naqashbandhi. All the business establishments and schools remained closed at the twin places while a thin attendance was recorded in government offices.Skeletal movement of traffic was observed on the Kishtwar roads, whereas, majority of the towns in the district like Palmar, Drabshalla, Chatroo, Drabshala, Mughalmaidan,  Dadpath, Bhunjwah, Sarthal and adjoining areas of the district also witnessed complete shutdown.
