In order to spread the teachings of great saint Guru Ravidas Ji, the Punjab Government has initiated the work for the constructions of ‘Minar-e-Begumpura’. The monuments would be constructed over an area of 1520 acre in village Khuralgarh of district Hoshiarpur. The Chief Minister  Parkash Singh Badal has constituted Guru Ravidas Memorial Foundation and concept committee consisting of 16 and 7 members respectively to expedite the construction of the memorial in a stipulated time period.Disclosing this here today,  Sohan Singh Thandal, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Irrigation said that the state government has already released Rs.12 crore for the construction of 18 feet road leading to the monuments site. He said that the Chief Minister has strictly instructed to conceptualize the layout of the monument, depicting the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji. He said that in the 7 member concept committee apart from political personalities, eminent scholars and saints have been inducted. He said that the government has already demarked 1520 acre land for this purpose.  Thandal said that the 7 members committee, comprising  Sarwan Singh Phillaur, Tourism and Jail Minister, Punjab,  Som Parkah, CPS, Saint Nirmal Das Joure Wale, Saint Surinder Das Kuthar Wale,  Jasbir Singh Sabar, Scholar,  Dharmpal Singhal and he himself, is making contact with scholars and saints all over the world having allegiance with teachings of Guru Ravidas in order to inculcate the philosophy of Guru Ravidas Ji.
