Charri Mubarak leaves for Buddha Amarnath

Deputy Chairman Legislative Council  Jahangir Hussain Mir, MLA Shah Mohammad Tantray, MLC Shehnaz Ganai  and Vibod Gupta  flagged off the“ Charri Mubarak” from Dashnami Akhara here this morning for making the final ritual of the annual sojourn.Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Harun Malik, SSP, J S Johar and other senior officers from police and district administration alongwith members of Yatra Management Committee, prominent citizens and locals in large numbers were present on the occasion.Amidst the vedic chants by the religious heads, the procession left  Dashnami Akhara after performing ritual ”Charri Pujan”  performed by Swami ji Maharaj “Chief Priest” for Holy Darshan at Buddha Amarnath.Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chairman Legislative Council Jahangir Hussain Mir said that Poonch being land of Sufis and Saints whose teachings encompass   tolerance, goodwill and mutual respect for all the religions.
