The Supreme Court has been moved seeking registration of an FIR against Uttar Pradesh Minister for Urban Development Azam Khan for making "outrageous" comments against the victims -- the mother and her minor daughter -- of the July 29 gangrape on the highway at Bulandshahr.Advocate Kislay Pandey said that the petition was filed on Friday, by the minor girl's father, who has taken exception to Azam Khan describing the gangrape as a political conspiracy at a press conference. The petitioner said Khan's statement was "outrageous to the victims' modesty". The petitioner -- an Ola cab driver -- has also sought the transfer of investigation to Delhi, alleging that local police were in collusion with the criminal gangs involved in the rape.

Besides, he has also urged the court to monitor the same. The incident took place on July 29 when the victims along with their family members were travelling to Shahjahanpur to attend a death ceremony. The petitioner has alleged that it was a case of gangrape and dacoity as the perpetrators of crime also took away their cash and jewellery. The victim's father has alleged that after the crime, when they contacted police on phone, they did not respond. The petition said that the crime took place just 100 yards from the police post and despite their screaming and shouting, no one came to their rescue.
