The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, Sukhbir Singh Badal today said Manpreet Singh Badal had betrayed not only the people of Punjab by aligning  with anti-Punjab party Congress but has also stabbed S. Parkash Singh Badal in the back who put so much of trust in him. He also said that the one who can’t prove loyal to Badal sahib, how can he proved loyal to anybody else.Addressing people during sangat darshan at the Gidderbaha constituency, S. Badal struck an emotional chord with them and said his family deep and age old bond with Gidderbaha whose electorate has catapulted Badal family to the heights of political glory. He added that on one side, the people have reposed so much trust in the Badal family while on the other hand Manpreet Singh Badal has cheated the people of this constituency by allowing himself to be a congress ‘sycophant’.Coming to the developmental works undertaken by the SAD-BJP government during previous 9 years, the Deputy Chief Minister said the state has gone up on the index of progress only at the time of SAD-BJP government under the leadership of S. Parkash Singh Badal. Divulging more, he said that the SAD-BJP Government has tried in right earnest to rid the Muktsar area of the water logging menace and the farming sector in the region has seen remarkable prosperity due to the persistent efforts of S. Parkash Singh Badal. He also said the SAD has proved to be the benefactor of all sections including farmers, poor, traders and the youth. He further said that the state government pays Rs. 6000 crore to the POWERCOM to settle power bills of the farming community and provides free power to the farmers making Punjab the only state to take this revolutionary step.

Disclosing more, S. Badal said the novel initiatives of Atta-Dal scheme, free health insurance scheme, free power up to 200 units to SC/BC households, free bicycles to the school girls, pension scheme and shagan scheme have proved to be the game changers in raising the standard of living of the people of state. Adding more, he said that with the operationalization of 2147 Sewa Kendars, the people of state would get government services in a corruption free and hassle free manner.Sounding supremely confident, he said that owing to the wave after wave of development centric projects people would surely give hattrick chance to the SAD-BJP combine to serve the state because Congressmen have already thrown in the towel and conceded defeat whereas the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) rank & file is a bunch of extremist people who have absolutely no clue about the culture and traditions of Punjab and who are only out to grab power. Castigating Arvind Kejriwal, the Deputy CM said the AAP convenor only believes in confrontational politics. He also said that Kejriwal’s brand of politics is an attempt to throw the state into chaos and destruction. He said that AAP would meet the fate worse than that of PPP in the coming assembly polls.

Replying to a query of media-persons, he said the list of candidates regarding next year’s assembly polls would be announced soon as the first list is almost ready and is being given finishing touches. On being asked about the gang war in Tarntaran, the Deputy Chief Minister said that nobody would be allowed to disturb the hard earned peace in the state and the rowdy elements would soon be behind bars.Earlier, during sangat darshan at Gidderbaha constituency, the Deputy CM announced to install 100 solar lights in each of the villages of the constituency besides 100 percent concretization of streets and drains in all the villages at a cost of Rs. 30,000 crore during the next 5 years.
