Reminding Indian State and its extensions in J&K about their continuous appeals post-1989 to shun armed struggle and fight politically for resolution of Kashmir dispute, AIP President and MLA Langate Er Rasheed has condemned the recent spree of arrests and slapping draconian PSA on youth in various parts of the State. In a statement issued to KNS, Er Rasheed said, “it was GoI which used to appeal Kashmiris to give up armed struggle and fight for the resolution of Kashmir dispute either by ballot or through peaceful political means. However when the resistance movement started transforming into a peaceful political movement, the State terrorism started becoming more repressive which has resulted in the current chaos and bloodshed.” MLA Langate said that GOI cannot justify its allegations for blaming Pakistan for the mass uprising as every Kashmiri cannot be a Pakistani mercenary.

Whatsoever is being propagated from Parliament to so-called nation media about the current uprising, is nothing but a desperate attempt to hide India’s failures in J&K.Expressing his deep concern, Er Rasheed over the harassment of Muslims of Jammu region, who against all odds have been supporting the moment for resolution of Kashmir dispute. He condemned the arrest of Jamat-e-Islami spokesman Adv Zahid Ali and said that crackdown on political leaders is a clear indication of frustration of the Government.Er Rasheed reiterated that despite all hurdles by the administration, AIP will go ahead with its 72 hours sit-in protest in Srinagar from Friday against the in-sensitiveness of the Indian parliament towards Kashmir issue.
