While commenting on the discussions and debates in Indian print and electronic media about the volatile and burning situation in Jammu and Kashmir, chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani said that it is very saddened to see these so-called intelligentsia and law makers of India, while discussing Kashmir, only look through the prism of law and order and once the turmoil subsides they go hibernation. While dipping deep into the genesis of Kashmir dispute, Syed Ali Geelani said that history and the revolt of Kashmiris from time to time stands witness to the fact that this piece of land has been forcibly occupied by India and whenever people try to raise against this inhuman and undemocratic occupation, their voice muzzled by brutality and tyranny. Hurriyat (G) Chairman said that Indians especially it’s conscious, sincere and visionary of citizens very well know that despite using iron hand to crush Kashmiris since 1947, they have miserably failed to contain our freedom sentiment.

Even they use the same muscle to silence thunder of Azadi in the streets of the state. They have slaughtered us, tortured us, humiliated us blinded us, raped us and even deprived us of basic necessities for the last 7 decades and are still doing it. Our women folk molested our property dashed to ground, or youth tortured to death and our kids blinded by pallets. They have been doing these oppressing tactics for the last 7 decades and are still doing so. But they failed to Indanise us and they will fail in future as well. Syed Ali Geelani requested these people if they really are concerned and feel the pain and agony of the wounded valley, they should address the core issue without beating the bush, so that nuclear battle ground and massive human loss is avoided. He further warned if good sense will not prevail upon them then biggest cats trophy of humanity is on cords and hardly matters which country mourns more deaths. (KNS)
