A review of arrangements for celebration of the Independence Day was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Shopian G M Dar.It was given out that the Independence Day celebrations will be held at District Police Lines Shopian and Shahnai Vadan will start at 7 am.The DC directed the district as well as sectoral heads of different departments to ensure the presence of their employees in Independence Day celebrations.On the occasion, the DC also took stock of security and other arrangements like medical, and fire fighting services and directed the concerned authorities to further strengthen these arrangements. It was informed that the full-dress rehearsal will be held on August 13 , 2016 at district police lines Shopian.The meeting was attended by ADC Shopian, SSP Shopian, Chief Planning officer, Xen R&B, PHE, & PDD besides other officers and officials of District & sectoral Offices.
