DC Anantnag finalizes ID arrangements

To finalize the arrangement for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations in the district, a meeting was today held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, Dr. Abid Rasheed Shah.The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers of Police, R&B, PHE, PDD, Education, Youth Services & Sports, Municipal Committees and other concerned departments to ensure that requisite arrangements are in place for the grand celebrations.R&B Department was mandated to ensure the seating at the venue while the PHE Department was asked to arrange the barricading besides keeping available drinking water tankers. PDD has been instructed to provide uninterrupted power supply besides keeping gensets in the backup.Chief Medical Officer, Anantnag was instructed to keep ambulance service available both on the rehearsal and main function day while the Fire and Emergency Department shall keep a fire tender available at the venue. Concerned officers of Urban Local Bodies were also instructed to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation of the municipal areas.It was also given out in the meeting that fool proof security arrangements will be ensured during the functions at all places.The Deputy Commissioner exhorted upon all the officers to ensure all their officials attend the ceremony. It was decides that the Independence Day function will also be celebrated at all the Sub-Division and Tehsil Headquarters of the district.The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, SSP, Commandant CRPF 40 Bn, besides all the sectoral and district officers.
