AAP funding needs probe by Union Government: Sukhbir Singh Badal

The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal today reiterated that the SAD-BJP government would never deviate from the holy commitment it made to the people of Punjab regarding ensuring continuous ascendancy of state on economic, social and other parameters of development. He also said that nobody cares for or loves the interest of Punjab more than the present SAD-BJP government.Replying to the queries of mediapersons during the 2nd day of sangat darshan for villages falling under Balachaur constituency, the Deputy Chief Minister branded top leadership of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as a conglomerate of outsiders who have no inkling about the culture, traditions and atmosphere of Punjab nor any sentimental connect with its roots. Castigating AAP further he said that the hobnobbing of this rabidly anti-Punjab party with the radical elements and its source of funding needs to be thoroughly probed by the central government. Attacking AAP further he said that it would also meet the same fate as that of the PPP in the coming assembly polls.Taking a strong dig at AAP, S. Badal said that it is indulged in bitter internal feuds of its own making and therefore cannot compete with the SAD-BJP government on developmental agenda. He also said that sans any progress centric issues, the Congress also is no match for SAD-BJP government either. 

Continuing the attack, he said that PPCC Chief Captain Amarinder Singh cannot list even a single measure of developmental nature during his tenure as Chief Minister.Touching the plank of development, the Deputy Chief Minister said that it is only the SAD-BJP government under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister, S. Parkash Singh Badal which has done record development of the state and initiated measures aimed at welfare of all the sections of society with specialused focus on farming and labour sectors.Divulging more development oriented details  he said that the kandi canal would be completed shortly at a cost of Rs. 540.24 crore and would be beneficial for the needs of 60000 acres of lands. He also announced that Rs. 50 crore would be spent on ensuring 100 percent water supply for balachaur region. Making more announcements, he said that a volleyball academy would be established in balachaur besides operationalising a skill center in every block.Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister interacted with people during the sangat darshan and disbursed development grants worth Rs. 22 crore during two days of sangat darshan.Among others present on the occasion included Chief Parliamentary Secretary Chaudhary Nand Lal, MLA Garhshankar Jathedar Surinder Singh Bhulewal Rathan, Special Principal Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister, Rahul Tewari, DIG S.K. Kalia, Deputy Commissioner Vipul Ujjwal and others.
