Sukhbir Singh Badal holds meeting with employee organizations to resolve their issues

Asks Maluka to coordinate with employee organizations to work out legally suitable way to regularize contractual employees

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister  Sukhbir Singh Badal today held a meeting with different employee organizations of the state which were gathered here at Punjab Bhawan under the banner of Punjab Mulazim Front headed by Mr. Surinder Singh Pehlwan.In a hour long meeting, Mr. Badal accompanied by Rural Development Minister Mr. Sikander Singh Maluka and Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. S.K. Sandhu discussed the major issues with the leaders of employee organization and unions from different government departments. Deputy Chief Minister listened carefully all the demands including regularization of contractual employees and ensured the employee organizations that Punjab government is all set to provide every legally valid solution to the issues raised during the discussion.

Deputy Chief Minister also chalked out a strategy plan to meet all the justifiable demands of employees’ organizations and asked Mr. Maluka to further coordinate with the employee organizations to work on every legally suitable way to regularize contractual employees. Mr. Badal also promises to hold one to one meeting with maximum number of employee organizations to solve their individual issues.Earlier, Mr. Surinder Singh Pehlwan, President Mulazim Wing raised the collective demands of all employee organization and expressed hope that employee friendly SAD-BJP government would soon give a healing touch to all pending demands. He spell out the contributions of the SAD-BJP government did for the welfare of the employees. He said that in last 50 years only Mr. Parkash Singh Badal led governments watched the interests of employees.

The representatives from PSEB Employees Federation, Adhiyapak Dal, Veterinary Inspector Union, PRTC Karamchari Dal, Punjab Roadways Karamchari Dal, Rural Health United Front, Rural Veterinary Pharmacist/Darja Char Union, PAU Karamchari Federation, Punjab Non Gazetted Forest Officers Union, Medical Laboratory Technician Union, Mulazam Dal Punjab, Punjab Fire Service Engineering Wing Association and Punjab Male/Female Workers Union attended this meeting.Prominent amongst others, Mr. Charanjit Singh Brara, OSD to Deputy CM, Harpal Singh Teja, Secretary General Mulazim Wing, Manjit Singh Chahal, Deputy Secretary General, Puran Singh Pali, Harwinder Singh Chattha,  Karamjit Singh, Harmesh Dhiman, Gurwel Singh, Ram Singh Alowal and Gurcharan Singh Kauli were also present in the meeting.
