DC Jammu reviews Independence Day arrangements

To review arrangements for celebration of forthcoming Independence Day 2016, Deputy Commissioner, Simrandeep Singh, today chaired a meeting of officers of different departments.While reviewing the arrangements, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place well in time for the National event. He reviewed arrangements of security, seating plan, installation of PAS, barricading, power, drinking water, invitation of guests, refreshment to school children, transport, electricity, march past and other necessary arrangements.It was informed in the meeting that the main event would be held in Mini Stadium and the rehearsals of the parade would start from 5thAugust.The review meeting was attended by senior officers of civil and police administration of the district.
