The India-Germany Forum of Parliamentarians Chaired by  Anurag Thakur, MP Hamirpur, met today in Delhi in the presence of FICCI President Harshvardhan Neotia and German Ambassador to India HE Martin Ney. Commenting at the occasion, Anurag Thakur said, "India and Germany have shared historical and cultural ties that have been strengthened in recent years by the efforts of Chancellor Angela Merkel and Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While foreign policy and high level exchanges between leaders will help set the agenda for our two nations; it is what we eventually do at the grassroot level that will transform the lives of people in our nations. Germany being Europe’s strongest economy and perhaps the most welcoming of nations in recent times, along with India as the worlds largest democracy and the worlds fastest growing economy can together be global leaders in this century."
