The Core committee of the SAD today finalized details of programmes for observing 350 years of the anniversary of the Tenth Master Guru Gobind Singh ji as an event of massive devotional fervor marked by a spirit of universal love, peace and communal harmony which Punjab symbolizes.A meeting of the core committee at Punjab Bhawan here this evening also gave finishing touches to the program for celebrating 50 anniversary of Punjabi Suba on a grand scale in the true Punjabi spirit.Giving details of the meeting party's general secretary and spokesperson Harcharan Singh Bains told news persons that for the two events the core committee assigned major tasks to senior party leaders for the success of the events. The Punjabi Suba event would be celebrated as tribute to Punjabi unity , culture and pride communal harmony and would show case the fast and unprecedented progress and development being made in every segment .The spirit of Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiat would be the inspiring emotional force behind the event. Program would spread from October up to the Punjab Day November 1. The 350 anniversary would be observed as a tribute to the spirit of Chardi Kala and to the values of peace, secular ethos, communal harmony

The committee appealed to people to beware elements who are hatching conspiracies to inject communal poison in the Punjabi society through acts targeted against shrines and scriptures of various faiths and by creating an atmosphere of mutual distrust and anger in the minds of devotees.
