Set Back For Congress: Gogia Resigns From Congress And Join To Jagmeet Brar's Mahagathbandhan

After announcing his plans to create a ‘Punjabiat Maha-Gathbandhan’, Jagmeet Singh Brar has immediately got down to putting his plans to action. He addressed a press conference here today with Suresh Gogia, who had been appointed as Vice Chairman Political Cell and Ex Vice President Punjab Youth Congress. Gogia is counted among Capt’s favourites in his home turf of Patiala. Brar said “I welcome Suresh Gogia’s bold decision of rejecting offers of money and party posts, he has chosen to serve the people of Punjab. I appeal to all clean & committed sons of Punjab to come forward and join us to save Punjab from Badals and Capt’s fixed match system”

 Suresh Gogia said “I saw the fixed match Badal & Capt played when the Patiala by-election happened, I see how Capt protects Majithia and Badal never speaks about Capt’s cases - after Jagmeet Brar’s call I finally found a clean platform to serve Punjab away from the corrupt shadows of Capt and his family” Gogia added “How can a Congress worker speak against Akalis when our own leader is accused of hundreds of crores of scams? When Akalis file false cases against workers we cannot even reach Captain because he is surrounded by high walls of money and royal courtiers” When asked who else Brar was in touch with and if he had been able to bring the likes of Bains Brothers, Navjot Sidhu, Pargat Singh and Bolaria into this alliance he said “I have already invited them to join and lead this alliance and I will be meeting them in the coming days” Sant Singh Ghagga, who has been leading Lok Hit Abhiyan as district coordinator was also present 

Attacks on Dalits

 Brar said the recent attacks on Dalits in Fazilka was similar to the attacks on Dalits in UP, Bihar and other states. He alleged that Sukhbir Badal was using some parts of the state police like his ‘Private Gunda Fauj’ to intimidate political opponents and ordinary citizens and these attacks in Jalalabad were clear proof of this. 

On CM Badal

Brar reacted strongly to CM Parkash Singh Badal’s comment that Sidhu, Pargat & Bolaria had betrayed their mothers by leaving their parties and said “Badal fought his first election as a congress candidate and has been in every version of the Akali Dal till he formed his own private limited party – he is responsible for the tears of mothers who lost their sons to Sukhbir & Majithia’s drugs, he’s responsible for the mother who died with her son in Barnala. I dare him to look into the eyes of the young widows of Punjab and then lecture”
