A People’s Democratic Party Minister Wednesday revealed that New Delhi is not sincere towards the people of Kashmir and it forgets that Kashmir is a dispute and people of Jammu and Kashmir are important party to this issue that anyhow needs to be resolved.Talking to Kashmir based news agency CNS, People’s Democratic Party legislator and Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Chowdary Zulfkar said that New Delhi can’t muzzle the genuine voices of Kashmiri people through pellets and bullets for a longer time and it has to address the Kashmir issue. “It is really sorry to state that India is in denial mode given the fact that it entered into so many accords and set up working groups, dispatched interlocutors here to settle the issue. If it is not an issue for New Delhi then why it entered into accords (Indira-Abdullah Accord, Rajeev-Farooq Accord) and why former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh established five working groups,” Zulfkar questioned. He added that the anger and hatred towards New Delhi has reached to climax and people are hitting the roads without caring for the consequences.

“How long we will bury our young children in graves and how long we will snatch eye-sights of innocent civilians. Pellets and bullets are not answer to the anger depicted by people here. It is high time for India to repeal draconian Armed Forces Special Powers Act and accept Kashmir as a basic issue and take steps to resolve it,” he said adding that pellets are used on animals not on humans Peoples Democratic Party Minister said that Kashmir is live issue between India and Pakistan and since 1947 people of Kashmir yearn for its resolution. “India must talk to Pakistan and take Kashmiri’s into confidence,” he said.Responding to a question, Chowdary Zulfkar Ali said that recent killing in Kashmir was not the outfall of the PDP’s decision to ally with Bhartiya Janata Party. “There was not BJP government in 2008 and 2010 and still we witnessed bloodshed in Valley. The fact is that protests always erupt here against India as New Delhi lacks courage and will to get the Kashmir issue resolved,” he said and added that PDP had no option but to forge an alliance with BJP as in Jammu this party got complete mandate while the mandate in Kashmir was fractured one.(CNS)
