BJP MLAs hold mirror to misgovernance: Kiran Choudhry

Mrs Kiran Choudhry, Leader of the Haryana Congress Legislature Party, has said that the proceedings of the BJP Legislature Party meeting yesterday "hold a mirror to the chaos, corruption and lack of governance in the name of good governance provided to the people of Haryana by the Manohar Lal Khattar Government".In a statement issued here today, the former excise and taxation minister said that the manner in which BJP legislators flayed the state government on counts more than one exposed the gap between saying (kathni) and doing (karni) the Chief Minister has been feigning to bridge.While some party MLAs told the Chief Minister to tame the bureaucracy, others asked him to ensure that his orders were obeyed by obdurate officers. 

The fact that graft ruled the roost was highlighted by some who pointed out that while genuine seekers were refused, those who could cough up Rs 2 lakh could get licence for a weapon, and many who could not grease the palms awaited pension. This totally exposed the false claims made by the BJP on providing graft-free administration, she said.The problems the farmers faced were also highlighted and the MLAs exposed gaps in the Prime Minister's crop insurance scheme.Mrs Choudhry asked the BJP Government to look at the mirror held aloft by party MLAs closely, do some introspection, stop making false claims on providing graft-free administration, and concentrate on delivery which is sadly missing. Mere claims won't do, she added.
