I-Day arrangements discussed at Udhampur

The District administration Udhampur today constituted various committees to supervise arrangements for Independence-Day celebrations.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Angrez Singh Rana constituted the committees while chairing a meeting of civil and police officers.    

ASP Mohan Lal Kainth, SE PWD A.K. Gandotra, CEO Bishan Singh, Executive Engineers PWD & PDD, District Youth Service and Sports Officer Udhampur, District Cultural Officer, District Information Officer, District Officers of different departments and senior officers of Army & Police attended the meeting.Different committees including Reception Committee, Illumination Committee, Contingent selection committee etc were   constituted for the successful celebration of the national function.

It was decided in the meeting that the main function would be organised in the premises of Government Degree College for Boys, Udhampur where the chief guest would hoist the national flag and take salute at the March Past comprising contingents of Police, Forest Protection Force, NCC and school children.Detailed discussions were held on seating arrangement, barricading, security, traffic regulation, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, first-aid, deployment of buses, PAS and fire-tenders etc.
