Deputy Commissioner, Sheetal Nanda, along with the district officers today launched a cleanliness drive at Chichi Mata Complex.The initiative has been taken up  in collaboration with Municipality Samba and Rural Development Department during which the officers removed garbage  lying nearby the temple premises, shopping complex and along the National Highway.The DC directed all the shopkeepers in the complex to keep two dustbins in front of their shops so that customers don’t drop litter in the open. She stressed upon adopting this practice across the district as garbage chokes lanes, drains and has harmful effects on human health as well. She cautioned of strict action against defaulters.Meanwhile, similar drives were launched at Vijaypur, Bari-Brahmana and Ghagwal by Municipalities and Rural Development Department.
