Punjab has become ‘safe heaven’ for criminals: Bhagwant Mann

Condemning that attack on Sikh Preacher Sant Rajnit Singh Dhadrianwale in Ludhiana late last night, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP, Bhagwant Mann today said that under Akalis’ regime Punjab has emerged as ‘safe heaven’ for criminal.Mann said that the attack on the Dhadrianwale was accordingly well-planned conspiracy as the attackers not only opened fire on the car of the Sant, but even chased the vehicle for at least four kilometres with continued firing on Dhadrianwale’s car.  “Once upon a time, Bihar used to be famous for such criminal attacks, but now Punjab has become the ‘safe’ place for such dreaded criminals”, Mann added. 

Law & order situated has stooped so low in the Punjab that criminals have no fear of Police, which could be evident from the fact that those who were indulged in the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib at Bargadi about eight months back, are still at large, Mann said adding that rather two of the protesters, who were holding peaceful protest against the ‘shameful’ act was gunned down by the police. Even the convoy of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was also attacked by the ‘miscreants’ at Ludhiana during his visit to Punjab but Police did not take any action in this case, Mann added.Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal owes an explanation to people of Punjab, who want to know whether Punjab is worth-living now?  “Gangsters are having field day in Punjab, farmers are committing suicides on every day and women don’t feel safe in the state”, Mann said while quipping whether this type of Punjab people dreamed for?
