District Administration Doda today convened a meeting of the Rural Development Department to discuss plan proposals under 14th Finance Commission (FC) and to review the physical and financial achievements under 13th FC.District Development Commissioner Bhupinder Kumar chaired the meeting attended by ACD, CPO, AD, BDO's and other senior officers of the department.The DDC took comprehensive review of the ongoing works like construction of bridges, culverts, approach roads etc in different blocks and directed the concerned BDOs to finish the pending works within a period of one month. He said that focus should be laid on taking up works in convergence mode with other departments to create a pool of resources which can be utilized to create durable assets.

The ACD Doda presented a detailed resume on completed works along with photographs of the assets. He briefed the meeting about number of works taken in the panchayats and performance and quality of each work.The concerned officers were directed to ensure completion of all ongoing works before the onset of winters besides maintaining a standard of quality.Regarding the plan proposal for 14th FC, the DDC directed all BDOs to submit their respective proposals in one week to the office of ACD. He further directed ACD to forward a compiled plan to his office for consideration at the earliest.The DDC also directed BDOs to ensure installation of solar lights near religious places and other places of importance. He further stressed on early construction of approach road, fencing and protection of schools and completion of construction work of Panchayat Ghars. “Works should be prioritized with minimum time lapse for its completion, and   done in consultation of the local people”, he added.
