CGC Jhanjeri College shines in PTU’s Merit Lists, Five students bagged five top positions and 74 captured Positions

Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar released the Merit Lists of all examinations conducted by it in Nov 2014, April 2015 and Nov 2015. Chandigarh Group of Colleges Jhanjeri created history by bagging a total of 74 positions in these Merit Lists. Besides this,five of its students bagged first position in PTU in different disciplines of engineering. Arzoo of 7th semester          Computer Science &Engineering secured  93.18% marks, Jaspreet kaur of 6th semester CSE  got 91.13% , Shubham Khajuria of 5th semester Mechanical  got 88.35%  Gurinder Singh of 3rd semester mechanical  got 86.24% and Simranjeet Kaur of 2nd semester ECE  with 91.88%  have stood first in PTU in their respective examinations. They will all be given laptops by the management of CGC Jhanjeri as a prize for this enviable achievement. Others in the merit lists include 5 from 7th semester Mechanical, 4 from 7th semester CSE, 3 from 7th semester Civil, 4 from 6th semester CSE, three from 6th semester Civil , 5 from 3rd semester Mechanical, 4 from 2nd semester B Tech and others from MBA, BBA, BCA, B Com and B.Sc. (Agriculture). All these students will be given cash prize of Rs. 5000/- each.

Speaking on the occasion S.Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC, said that the credit for this excellent achievement goes to the teachers as well as the students. Dr.G.D.Bansal, Director General, said that it is a matter of pride for this college to have such a large number of students in the Merit lists of PTU. Dr. Bansal added that the top priority of management is to give quality education to the students. For this, most talented teachers are appointed who give personal attention to each student and best possible infrastructure is provided to the students.
