IMRC announces 2 week Youth Volunteer Trip to India

IMRC (Indian Muslim Relief and Charities) is organizing a 2 week youth volunteer trip to India whose dates will be announced soon.As part of the trip volunteers will be visiting, spending quality time and learning about Islam in India.The volunteers will also learn about various IMRC’s projects related to  health care, education, water including the orphanages and Challenger International School (CIS) near Hyderabad, Jahangirabad Institute of Technology (JIT) near Lucknow and the Indo-US Hospital.The Volunteer will also do weekend excursions in Lucknow, Hyderabad and Kashmir.“The volunteer program will be an immersive experience to volunteers to  learn about Islam in India.Besides, the goal of the trip is to instill a sense of service and charity in our young adults and develop in them a deep appreciation and attachment to our unfortunate Muslim brothers and sisters in India,” says Manzoor Ghori, Executive Director of IMRC.

IMRC provides a safe, affordable and meaningful volunteer program in India that includes working with orphans, women empowerment programs and street children programs and more.The program will give volunteers the opportunity to learn about their roots and culture while gaining life-long experiences that they can bring back from the trip knowing that they have made an impact on someone’s life.The cost of two week trip is $2000.Men and women in age group of 16-30 can apply for the volunteer program.IMRC works closely with local NGOs in India and partner with many organizations providing volunteers meaningful work at the grassroots level where it is much needed.Indian Muslim Relief & Charities, IMRC (www.imrcusa.org) is a US based non-profit organization that initiated in 1981 that helps run several programs throughout the country. Aside from running schools and colleges, it has been at the forefront of providing immediate relief to natural disasters such as the recent 2015 Nepal earthquake, the 2014 Kashmir floods, the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots and the 2012 Assam riots.
