Despite government order to reopen schools in four districts in the Valley, the schools continue to remain closed on Thursday as the parents didn’t allow their wards to attend the classes due to the current unrest in Kashmir. The government had earlier announced that the schools in four districts including Baramulla, Bandipora, Budgam and Ganderbal in Kashmir division will reopen on 21 July.Reports said that all the private as well as government schools in the districts remained closed as the parents didn’t allow their children to attend the classes. “Most of the parents didn’t allow their children to attend the school while students also refused to attend the class in view of the current situation in Kashmir,” reports said.

Parents said that they don’t want to risk the lives of their children by sending them to school.“The situation is currently tense across the Valley and at present it is not possible for a mother or a father to send their beloved one to schools, which is quite risky,” parents said in Budgam. They said that they also want to send their children to schools but at present sending them to schools is putting the lives of their children at risk.“If any untoward will happen to our children then who will be responsible of that,” they said.
