Third year students Abhinav Gupta, Kuldeep Singh, Gurvinder Singh,MalkitSingh ,Lakhvir ingh and Rahul Singh of EE Department of Universal group of Institutions designed and developed Radio Controlled Aircraft under the guidance of their mentor and Head of the Department Er. Prabhat Singh Lakhwal . A Radio-controlled aircraft is a small flying machine that is controlled remotely by an operator on the ground using a hand-held radio transmitter. The 6 channel 2.4 GHz transmitter communicates with a receiver within the craft that sends signals to servomechanisms and which move the control surfaces based on the position of joysticks on the transmitter and speed of 1000 kv brushless motor.

The control surfaces, in turn, affect the orientation of the plane. Body of RC plane is made of Styrofoam which results in light weight and easy control of plane balancing. RC plane can be used for the various purposes like remote monitoring, intelligence gathering reconnaissance .While congratulating the students Chairman UGI Dr Gurpreet Singh.  said that the engineering students of UGI are taught to be innovative right from first year of their course and encouraged them to believe work hard in future also to excel.
