LCET Civil Engineering Department team attended short term course on water quality management to conserve water

LCET Department of Chemical Engineering attended short term Course program on Water Quality Management at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology at Jalandhar. The Chief Guest during the inaugural session Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal spoke about the reality of problem in water pollution. He impaled the truth regarding ground reality of water wastage stating that the textbook teaching will not impart any change in water pollution control or the implementation of those methods in real life of a common man’s problems. He discussed various preventive measures that he and his team have taken. He described the “Seechewal Model” that he has implemented and his development of those in real life extensions in a video.

Guest of Honour Dr Babu Ram, Member Secretary Punjab Pollution Control Board discussed about Treatment of wastewater and reuse.  He also told about water consuming industries and the restriction for various industries depending upon the quality of water usage and recovery methods. He also gave in depth knowledge of various characteristics of waste water from many industries such as distilleries, breweries, cement, paper & pulp, food industries, etc.Civil Engineering Department Team while speaking at the moment said that we have learn various techniques to save water which can be used in day to day life  .They further informed that such  courses can be  helpful to aware residents to conserve water for better future .
