Indo Global students developed energy efficient materials which can also be called Green building materials .They developed Slag Brick, Heat Insulation Tiles, Double Glazed Unit and Paver Block. Slag Brick is the bi-product of steel. In this brick the firing temperature reduces upto 150 C. Heat Insulation Tiles are heat insulators, anti-bacterial, anti-skid and also impervious to the water. They are light in weight and having high solar reflective index about 96%.Double Glazed Unit is heat insulator and sound proof as well. Paver block has quality to percolates surface water directly into the ground and recharges the ground water.While giving information about energy efficient materials Chairman  Sukhdev Singla  said that energy efficient materials are composed of renewable rather than non-renewable resources. Green materials are environmentally responsible because impacts are considered over the life of product. Besides this, it reduces maintenances/replacement costs over the life of the building. It conserves energy and improves occupant health and productivity. It also lower costs associated with changing space configuration and greater design flexibility also.
