CM calls upon youth to support hardworking and honest politicians

While addressing a public meeting at Kalol in Jhandutta assembly segment of district Bilaspur today, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that the coming generations should support the hardworking and the honest politicians as they still have a respect and reputation in the society and have large people following.He said that the Congress regimes had been the witness of overall development of the country. It was the Congress Party which made occupancy tenants of the land  as the owners of the same land and it was the Congress, which taking into consideration the plight of the farmers, waived off their loans and because of this and many other reasons, the people voted Congress to power many a times.Himachal had also progressed in leaps and bounds and the Government was always considerate to the welfare of the people of the State.  Pensionary benefits were being given to the needy and the old. The social security pension has been enhanced from Rs 600 to Rs 650 and as many as 3,63,825 people were being provided social security pension, he said.He said that the government was also providing land to the houseless in the State. The landless rural poor were being given three Biswas of land and urban landless were given two Biswas of land free of cost for construction of houses. 

The Chief Minister said that the Panchayat representatives should tell others about the welfare policies of the State government so that the people could become aware about the policies being implemented for their well being. He said that all the parts of the state were equally developed as of now.  He said he had visited to Kotdhar earlier and traversed the area on foot, but today it was nice to see the area well connected with roads.Virbhadra Singh announced upgradation of Government High School Gangloh to Senior Secondary School and setting up X-Ray plant in PHC, Kalol. He showered all praises for Aanganwadi workers and said that the government was always alive to their demands.Dr. Biru Ram Kishore, Ex-MLA ,  Jhanduta  placed local demands of the area before the Chief Minister and thanked him for dedicating  projects worth crores in Jhandutta assembly in a single day and also for announcing to make SDM operational within 10 days or so.  He credited the development of the area to the Chief Minister.Chairman, Twenty Point Programme Implementation and Monitoring Committee, Shri Ram Lal Thakur, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries, Shri Rajesh Dharmani and Shri Jagjivan Pal, MLA, Shri Bambar Thakur, Ex-MLAs, Shri Babu Ram Gautam and Shri Tilak Raj, General Secretary, Youth Congress, Shri Vivek Kumar, Chairman, Zila Parishad, Shri Amarjeet Singh Banga,  DCC President, Shri Kamlendar Kashyap, BCC, President, Jhanduta, Capt. Om Prakash, President District Mahila Congress, Ms. Anjana Dhiman,  were also present on the occasion amongst others.
