DHSK organizes Blood donation camps

Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir (DHSK) has been organizing blood donation camps across the valley on routine basis in peripheral hospitals and in that context five blood donation camps have been conducted during the last three days.The blood donation camps have been organized at District Hospital Anantnag, Sub -District Hospital, Sopore, Sub- District Hospital, Chadoora, District Hospital, Baramulla and District Hospital, Handwara.A total of 225 blood points have been collected and by this evening it will cross 250 mark as the camps have been  running at some other health institutions also. 

Moreover, volunteers are donating blood at various peripheral hospitals on routine basis and Staff of Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir is also participating in these camps.Director, Health Services, Kashmir Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman has directed concerned hospital administrators that, the hospitals wherever there is less burden of trauma patients, the blood points should be sent to tertiary care hospitals so that patients are benefit who are in dire need.Expressing gratitude to the Volunteers who came forward to donate blood in the need of hour, Director, Health Service, Kashmir said that Blood bank in Health institutions are functioning round the clock.
