Dad and daughter, Take a walk day was celebrated in the wee hours at Shemrock School sector -69, Mohali .The dads participated with full zeal and fervour to make the event a success. This day was observed to promote the benefits of family bonding time between fathers and daughters as well as the benefits of physical activity.Fun games were organised for dads and daughters like Cross the River, Pop the Balloon, Dad and daughter ride together etc. to involve the dads along with the daughters making it a fun packed day for them. Questionnaire round was also conducted to find the most aware father, highlighting the role in upbringing of the family .The winners were awarded by the Principal of the school.

The most aware parent awardees were Mr.Rajiv father of Rudraa,Mr.Sahil father of Samaira and Mr.anurag father of Anvita. Besides this Mr.Gursimran, Mr.Rakesh,Mr.Jasmeet Singh,Mr.Gurjit, Mr.Sarbjit were the winners of the various fun games .While speaking at the moment Director Education Air Commander SK Sharma said that time spent together is more valuable than any other gift you can give a child, no matter how old your child is. Setting the example of a healthy lifestyle to your children is also a valuable gift.  Walking has many health benefits and can be incorporated into child’s life at a young age.
