Electricity woes: Er Rasheed inaugurated project

AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er Rasheed Tuesday inaugurated a project providing electric supply to remotest village of Mankal in Langate Constituency. It is worth to mention that the area was without electricity since decades. The project providing electricity to the remote far-flung village came up with an estimated cost of Rupees 31 Lacs. Officers of the electric department and prominent citizens were present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion Er Rasheed said, “Whosoever may be in the government but remote areas need to be taken special care as these people have least voice in the administration and power corridors and their cries go often unheard. They can neither block roads nor stage dharnas like inhabitants of cities and towns.” Er Rasheed took assurance and oath from the inhabitants and other respectable citizens of the area who were present on the occasion, that while asking for their rights they will discharge their duties with honesty and dedication and promised that they will pay their electric bills regularly and will not indulge in electric theft.
