DGP SDRF takes stock of arrangements of Amarnathji Yatra

Commandant General (DGP) State Disaster Response Force (SDRF/HG/CD, J&K Dr S. Gopal Reddy today visited Pahalgam / Chandanwari to take stock of arrangements  put in place in connection with ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra.He was accompanied by Sh Abdul Waheed Shah, Commandant, SDRF, Kashmir.Interacting with the   Police Yatra Officer /Camp Director SASB, other officers, the Commandant General(DGP) got first hand appraisal about the deployment of Police and other stake holders especially Mountain Rescue Teams of NDRF, SDRF and CRPF.Chairing a meeting of officers at Pahalgam, the DGP instructed NDRF/ SDRF /CRPF and Armed Police MRTs to assist yatries in negotiating difficult tracks of the route and conduct sweep patrol of tracks every evening after conclusion of movement of yatries.
