DC Ramban reviews arrangements for Eid-Ul-Fitr

Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Mohammad Aijaz, today convened a meeting to review the arrangements for  Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations .Detailed discussions were held on arrangements being put in place for the festival besides discussing measures to be taken for convenience of the devotees visiting Eid Gah for offering special prayers.The DC directed the concerned officers to ensure adequate supply of essential commodities, drinking water, electricity, traffic management, security deployment, medicare, sanitation etc.He exhorted upon the Tehsildars and officials of Health, CAPD and Municipal committee to conduct market checks to ensure quality of commodities and to curb overcharging by the shopkeepers on essential commodities whereas Municipal authorities were directed to ensure cleanliness in and around the town.Police department was instructed to deploy sufficient numbers of security persons in the city to avoid any untoward incident during the festival and CAPD was directed to ensure availability of essential commodities like sugar, flour and kerosene oil to the public while traffic department was asked to ensure proper traffic management .The meeting was attended by ADDC, Ravinder Nath Sadhu, ADC Babu Ram, ACR Ramban V.Puri, CPO ,Parshotam Kumar, SDMs, XENs, AD CAPD,  Tehsildars, EOs, besides representatives of Masjid Committees.
