PRSI chapter elects Grewal as chairman during AGM

Unanimously elected 7 executive members & 2 co-opted , Resolves to setup PR Bhawan in the Tricity

With a view to accelerate the PR activities and to promote professionalism, Public Relations Society of India Chandigarh Chapter has resolved to setup PR Bhawan in Tricity during its AGM and election meeting held here last late evening.Disclosing this a spokesman of PRSI said during the AGM nominated internal auditor presented the accounts before the members present besides the activities and progress report of society by the outgoing chapter chairman. The returning officer announced the unanimous elections for 7 posts of executive members as only seven contestants have filed their nominations which were found to be eligible. Deputy director Press Harjeet Singh Grewal was elected chairman of the chapter by executive members unanimously.In addition to this, chairman consumer association Chandigarh R.K. Kaplash was elected as vice chairman, former deputy director Dr Uma Sharma general secretary, deputy secretary PR Powercom Harpreet Singh Aulakh as finance secretary and PRO consumer association Amandeep Singh as joint secretary. Additional Director press Haryana Rajiv Khosla and former chapter chairman Ashutosh Kapila were also elected as executive members whereas joint director DRDO Jimmy Kansal and PRO Haryana Sukhwinder Kaur Sethi were co-opted in the executive.He further added that known scientist and director DRDO Chandigarh Dr Ashwaghosh Ganju and deputy secretary Harpreet Aulakh were nominated as chapter representatives for the national council. It was also decided in the meeting to organise quarterly meetings of the society besides three seminars on different subjects in the coming months.
