DDC reviews arrangements for Eid-ul-Fitr

To review and discuss arrangements for upcoming festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, District Development Commissioner, Bhupinder Kumar, convened a meeting of district and sectoral officers here today.The meeting had a detailed discussion on arrangements being put in place for smooth and peaceful conduct of the festival besides discussing measures to be taken for convenience of the devotees visiting Mosques, Eid Gah for special prayer on the day.The DDC directed the concerned officers to ensure adequate supply of essential commodities, drinking water, electricity, traffic management, security deployment, medicare, repairing of street lights, sanitation etc.He exhorted upon the departments of Legal Metrology to conduct regular market checking to curb profiteering and to ensure that quality essential commodities are provided to the consumers. 

The Municipal authorities were directed to intensify the sanitation in and around the religious places and make the city neat and clean.ASP Doda was directed to deploy sufficient numbers of security personals in the city to avoid any untoward incident during the festival.The functionaries of CA&PD were directed to ensure availability of essential commodities like sugar, atta and Kerosene oil to the public.The SHO and Traffic Police Officer were directed to keep a check on traffic movement and do not allow parking of vehicles along the road side in the town area.Additional Deputy Commissioner besides representatives of Beopar Mandal were present in the meeting.
