DLRC meet held at Doda

A meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC), District Consultative Committee (DCC) and Local Advisory Committee for RSETI for the quarter ending March  2016 in respect of Doda District was convened by the State Bank of India, Lead Bank Office under the Chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohd. Hanief Malik  and reviewed the performance of Banks and RSETI  with regard to achievement under Annual Credit Plan of 2015-16 and Annual Action Plan 2015-16.

LDM, Sanjeev Mahajan, apprised the House that the deposits and advances of all Commercial Banks as on March 31st ,2016 stood at Rs.1387.08 Crore and Rs. 469.21 Crore respectively, thus achieving CD Ratio  of 33.82 % up from 33.02% of the last quarter.   The Chairman expressed his dissatisfaction over the CD Ratio achieved and  directed the Banks to make vigourous efforts to achieve the CD ratio above  40%. The Lead District Officer SBI and  R.B.Gupta (AGM RBI)  also stressed upon the issue of the CD ratio for its marked improvement and advised the Banks to achieve the desired CD Ratio of 60% in phases over a period -CD ratio of 50% by March 2016, 55% by March 2017 and 60% by March 2018.The Chairman expressed his concern about the tardy progress made by banks to achieve the 100% financial inclusion. He directed all the banks to adopt multi-pronged holistic approach to make their outreach possible in the far flung villages which are mostly unbanked. They should endeavour to deepen the penetration of Financial Inclusion and expand the coverage of financial services to all the sections of society particularly to those at the bottom of the economic pyramid. He further said that the financial Inclusion is a process of ensuring access to financial services and timely and adequate credit where needed by vulnerable groups such as weaker sections, rural women and lower income groups at an affordable cost. Additional Deputy Commissioner stressed  to cover all the house holds and open  maximum  accounts under Social Security Schemes.

LDM advised the Banks and sponsoring agencies to conduct the awareness camps in the villages in far-off unbanked areas  to expand their orbit so that more and more people are educated, motivated and facilitated to initiate self employment enterprises in their own areas to ensure overall development of the society and the benefits are accrued to the target populace evenly.The meeting had a thread bare review of all Govt. Sponsored Schemes with the focus on NRLM,  PMEGP, NULM, MSME, SHGs, DIR , KCC, DEDS, Handicrafts , Handloom, JLGs and women beneficiaries. The ADC further called upon all line departments and banks to galvanize their efforts and to give boost to the rural credit dispensation particularly by way of KCC, SHG, DEDS,JLGs and Farmer’s Clubs. ADC observed that the position of NPAs in some Banks is alarming and assured all possible administrative help for recovery of the same.Director RSETI informed the house that out of 1075 entrepreneurs trained so far, 684 entrepreneurs have been settled and are earning their livelihood. The Director RSETI also raised the issue of land for RSETI Doda.  SDR Report, NACER Review was placed before the House & Annual Action Plan 2016-17 was approved. RSETI was Recently graded by  AA.  Director RSETI  and his team was appreciated by the house.The ADC enjoined upon all Banks and Govt. Deptts. to make an earnest endeavour to enhance the flow of credit and improve their efficiency parameters so that the common man who is centre of activities of all concerned is benefitted under various Govt Sponsored Schemes.The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the Chair by Sh.
