LCET students visited manufacturing companies for industrial learning and exposure industries

Ludhiana College of Engineering and technology organized Industrial visit for the practical learning of mechanical concepts  for mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering & Electronics & Communication Engineering Students in Sangrur & Ludhiana in various industries  .Students visited  Shagun Oils  Vanaspati manufacturing plant, Avaani Spinning Mills Manufacturing cotton & polyester blended yarn, Jindal Insulators Electrical Ceramic Insulators manufacturing plant, Sivani Industrial Corporation  Electrical Transformers manufacturing plant, Sachkhand Automobiles  An authorized service centre of Tata Motors. During the visit students got chance to get basic information about the industries .They also got information about Assembly line ,team management, robot welding, laser cutting, chemical cleaning of metals before painting, plant engineering, safety, quality control  etc.

Explaining the motive behind visit Chairman LCET Vijay Gupta said that students can explore the ways of industrial production and management while visiting such Industries .Students got a chance to know actual industry management for machinery as well as for making of one substance, how it passes through different stage .He further added that Goal based Learning brings fruitful changes and provides a unique opportunity for students to gain an insight into a working environment. In order to meet these goals, the industry interaction and industry visits are regularly held, so that the students effectively relate the learnt theory   with practical application.
