Swachh Bharat Champions felicitated by Birender Singh

Union Minister of Rural Development and Drinking Water and Sanitation Shri Birender has felicitated here 35 Swachhta Champions from 4 States of Punjab, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Haryana for their excellent contribution in the area of sanitation. The Awardees included DM/DC/CDO/Block Pramukh and Gram Pradhan among others. Certificates and mementoes were given to champions in recognition of their excellent work in the field of rural sanitation. The Champions have shared their field experiences.Speaking on the occasion, Shri Birender Singh said that goal of ODF free India by 2019 will be achieved as the Swachh Bharat Mission has achieved a new momentum since its launch in 2014 and many success stories are pouring in from different parts of the country narrating unique models to achieve the target of cleanliness. Minister of State, Drinking Water and Sanitation, Shri Ram Kripal Yadav was also present on the occasion.
