DPRs for Shahi Khul-Kalai Bridge protection bund submitted to Centre: Sham Lal Chowdhery

Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Choudhry today said that the vulnerable spots at Potha/Sonai villages have been plugged by laying of B.A. wire crates.Replying to Calling Attention Notice by Ch Mohammad Akram regarding the protection works/bund at Potha, Sonai villages which were washed away during 2014 floods, the Minister said that the DPR from Shahi Khul head site to Kalai Bridge for Rs. 51.00 crores has been framed and submitted to the Central Water Commission, Ministry of Water Resources, GOI, for approval and subsequent release of central assistance."As soon as the project is approved by the Centre and funds are received, permanent treatment would be carried out," the Minister said.
