7 Pvt Members Bills moved, 4 introduced, 2 rejected, 1 withdrawn

Seven Private Members Bills were moved in Legislative Assembly today. Out of these, 4 were allowed to be introduced, 2 rejected and one withdrawn.The Legislative Assembly Private Members (L.A Private Members’ Bill No.13 of 2015)” which was moved by Mr. Ranbir Singh Pathania was allowed to be introduced by the House. The Bill seeks amendment in the Jammu and Kashmir Right to Information Act, 2009.Another (L.A. Private Members’ Bill No.14 of 2015)’ of Mr. Abdul Rahim Rather which pertains to make it obligatory on the part of Private Educational Institutions to provide reservation to Children of BPL Families was allowed to be moved in the House.Er. Abdul Rashid moved a Bill (L.A. Private Members’ Bill No.16) of 2015, which pertains to make it obligatory for the Public Men and Public Servants to educate their children in Government Educational Institutions and for mattes connected therewith or incidental thereto) was opposed by the Law Minister and House rejected it with voice vote.

 Mr. M. Y. Tarigami moved 4 Bills in the House, out of which two Bills “The Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir (Amendment) Bill, 2016 (L. A. Private Members” Bill No. 2 of 2016)”, “A bill to provide for the protection and Environment for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto (L.A. Private Members Bill No. 5 of 2016)” were allowed to introduce in the House.While as one Bill of Mr. M. Y. Tarigami “the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir (Amendment) Bill 2016 (L. A. Private Members Bill No. 4 of 2016)” was opposed by the Minister for Law and Justice and later the House rejected the Bill with voice vote.Another Bill of M. Y. Tarigami regarding “the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir (Amendment) Bill, 2016 (L.A. Private Members Bill No. 3 of 2016)” was withdrawn by   House after satisfaction reply from the Government.
