Punjab Government cheating governmat employees on allowance matter-AAP

In a statement released by Capt. R.R. Bhardwaj, Convener Intellectual Wing, AAP, Punjab and Jasbir Singh Bir, Convener Grievance and Administration Wing, AAP, Punjab strongly criticized the decision of Punjab government to release the long overdue dearness allowance to the employees in four quarterly installments extending up to august 2017, instead of giving the same immediately as is being done in our neighboring state of Haryana and central government. It is a malicious attempt of Akali BJP government to cheat the employees as an election stunt. The present central and Punjab government has left no stone unturned to increase the inflation and it is difficult now for an honest public servant to make both ends meet. In such a situation, immediate release of dearness allowance payment to the employees is a Moral and legal commitment of government. AAP fully supports the demand of Punjab government employees in this regard.

The anti employees policies of this government are further reflected in their decision to appoint 6th say commission which even after 8 months of its announcement has only remained on papers.  The chairman designate of this commission is a close relation of chief minister P.s Badal who is getting pay and perks without doing any work. This commission is far away from being operational and is a proving a cruel joke to employees.  AAP demands that the recommendations of this commission should be finalized well before the elections and the state government should ensure sufficient funds through finance commission and central government for implementing the recommendations.The two leaders of AAP warned the state government that if the anti employee policies of Punjab government are not stopped, than AAP will launch a strong movement and will join the employees in their struggle.
