Woman gang-raped in Ghaziabad

A woman has told police that she was gang raped in a moving car in Ghaziabad. The incident occurred on Monday night.Police said on Tuesday that the woman, a Noida resident, alleged that a Mahendra, who was known to her, invited her on Monday evening to Ghaziabad. When she boarded his car, it had another man. The two drove towards Lal Kuan. On the way, they offered her a cold drink which was apparently laced with sedatives. When she lost unconscious, the two raped her. They abandoned her near Bhatia Mor. She regained consciousness after some half hour and lodged a police complaint, Superintendent of Police Salman Taj Patil said.
