Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga said that industrial sector has emerged as an engine of growth in transforming India through Make in India, Digital India, Start up India and MUDRA Yojana, thus bridging the rural urban divide.He was addressing a seminar on “Strategic Management of Intellectual Property for MSMEs and Start-Ups” here today.Mr. Ganga informed the audience of recently announced National Intellectual Property Rights Policy which aims to weave in the strengths of the Government, research and development organizations, educational institutions, corporate entities including MSMEs, start-ups and other stakeholders in the creation of an innovation-conducive environment, which stimulates creativity and innovation across sectors, as also facilitates a stable, transparent and service-oriented IPR administration in the country.The Minister urged the youth to foster creativity and innovation and thereby, promote entrepreneurship and enhance socio-economic and cultural development in the state. He also asked the students to use technology and intellectual property to harness traditional knowledge, arts and culture and biodiversity resources.The seminar was organized by PHD Chamber in association with Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP), Union Ministry of Commerce & Industry.The seminar included sessions on “Significance of National IPR policy in present competitive environment for start-ups, entrepreneurs and MSME”.Entrepreneurs from various sectors and students in large numbers participated in the seminar.
