DDC Ganderbal reviews Shab-e-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Vida, Eid-ul-Fitr arrangments

The Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal today reviewed the arrangements being made for celebrations of Shab-i-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr in an officers meeting at Mini-Secretariat Ganderbal. Officers from CA&PD, PDD, PHE, R&B, Food Safety, and representatives from Traders Union Ganderbal also participated in the meeting.The District Development Commissioner directed Executive Officer of Municipal Committee to ensure proper sanitation throughout the town and install LED lamps in the markets.

The DDC was informed that, about 2.5 lakh chickens will be made available in District.The market checking squads were directed to intensify market checking so that illegal profiteering and selling of low quality food items is curbed.Regarding availability of LPG, Sugar and other essential commodities, CAPD department was directed to ensure required supply of essential commodities. The DDC was also informed that an extra one kg of sugar per ration ticket will be given to the consumers from tomorrow. District Development Commissioner directed the PDD and PHE departments to ensure uninterrupted power and drinking water supply in the district during festival days.
