Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh announces to open vet dispensary at Ruwad

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that the real credit of this unprecedented development goes to the hardworking people of the State and also to the leadership provided by successive Congress Governments at the Centre and the State.He said that as far as Rs 5.16 crore Banjar Sewerage scheme was concerned, the tendering process was in final stage, adding that a sum of Rs. 98 lakhs have been sanctioned for providing electricity to villages Shakti and Marod of GP Gadaparali.

He said that it was necessary to study science and the government was considering to start science classes in all senior secondary in a phased manner. My Government is committed to provide quality education to all children. As many as 1004 new schools have been opened or upgraded and 29 new degree colleges have been opened in rural areas of the State during the last three years of the present regime.More than 135 health institutions have been opened/ upgraded in the State during this period and more than 610 posts of doctors and specialists had been filled. As many as 600 posts of Nurses had been filled, he said.  Medical Colleges are coming up in Chamba, Hamirpur and Sirmour districts with a provision of Rs. 190 crore each. As many as 1775 posts of various categories have been created for these new medical colleges. AIIMS has been sanctioned for the State, which would be opened in Bilaspur district, he said.During last three years, 1415 kilometers new motorable roads and 134 bridges have been constructed taking the total road length to over 34,500 kilometers. The Chief Minister also inaugurated Talara Bridge over Sainj Rivulet completed with an outlay of Rs 1.50 crore. He performed foundation stone of LWSS Bhallan I, (Rot) to cost Rs1.12 crore. This would benefit residents of 30 habitations including Rot-I, Rot-II and Bhalan-II villages and a population of around 1600. The scheme would be completed in 2018. Besides, he laid foundation stones of Industrial Training Institute at Sainj in Gram Panchayat Dhaoogi to cost Rs. 1.58 crore, Government Degree College, Sainj to cost around Rs. eight crore and also laid foundation stone of Science block of Government Senior Secondary School at Sainj to cost Rs 1.35 crore.Meanwhile speaking on the sidelines of a function with the media at Talara, Chief Minister said that if the merger of Himachal Lokhit Party with BJP takes place, it would have zero impact on Congress. He said that congress was the largest single party in the State which has strong footing amongst the masses. 

On being asked about the stray animals and working of ‘Gauvansh Samvardhan Board’, Chief Minister replied, that action would be taken against those who abandon the cattle and the government was working on this seriously. We are considering of tagging devices in the cattle with full details of its owner, he replied.  The government had made a policy of having a ‘Cluster Gau Sadan’ to cater to a number of panchayats or assembly segment as having Gausadans  in every panchayat was not feasible due to financial constraints. He also said it was wrong to refer to these animals as stray as they are abandoned by their owners. “The State government was  opening  shelter homes for such abandoned cattle all over the state in phased manner so that they could be properly fed and do not create peril on the roads and the streets,” said  the Chief Minister.Later in a function at Sainj, Ayurveda Minister, Shri Karan Singh welcomed and honoured the Chief Minister in his constituency and thanked him for laying foundation stone of College Building and ITI at Sainj. He also listed other developments of the area and urged for opening Bus Stand at Sainj. 

Earlier, the Chief Minister was accorded warm welcome on reaching Bhuntar by Ayurveda Minister, Shri Karan Singh, MLA, Shri Maheshwar Singh, Wife of Ayurveda Minister, Dr. Shivani Singh, and Chairman, BHUTTICO,Shri Satya Prakash Thakur and other senior officers of the district. Irrigation and Public Health Minister Smt. Vidya Stokes , General Secretary, Pradesh Congress Committee, Shri Sunder Singh, District DCC President, Shri Budhi Singh Thakur, Youth President Mandi Parliamentary of Mandi  Constituency, Shri Aditya Vikram Singh, President Mahila Congress, Ms. Vidya Negi, Chairperson, Zila Parishad, Ms. Rohini Chaudhary, Chairman, HIMBUNKAR, Shri Tehal Singh, BCC, President Manali, Shri Bhubneshwar Gaud, President BCC Banjar, Shri Surinder Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Shri Hans Raj Chauhan, S.P.
